Photographer TJ Nelson Jr loves the unstoppable flood of images on the internet, but was finding it difficult to connect to photos on a screen. His desire to connect to photography in a tangible way drove him to create Mux, an 8.5” x 5.5” zine that TJ curates with images from his talented peers.
Mux is on its second issue, and the first edition sold out quickly, but more are on the way. Grab one fast and take a minute to hold a collection of work that deserves to be pondered on.
“I like to look up wild at an infinite sky
Twinkling with diamonds
It’s true I get depressed in fancy hotel rooms
Undressed with nothing to flaunt but my loneliness
Thinking of the night song of your hair
Premature as evening falls it calls to me
Interrupted by the sirens in the street.”—Smokey Taboo (via tjnelsonjr)
It’s like leaving the day with a feeling you have. A tipping point, where the decisions of the next day are out your of control and your mind/body are forcing you to lay in bed listening to the same track on repeat because it gives you ground to walk on and air to breathe. That’s what this track is for.
